The Fault In Our Stars

Happy Friday everyone! I sincerely hope you all have more interesting weekend plans than I do... my part time job is retail and it's a huge shopping weekend which means I am spending all of my weekend at work. Yuck.

I'm (mostly) ok with that though because last night I had the opportunity to do something I normally do on the weekends, which is go to the movies... and not just any movie people. I was offered FREE tickets to an advance screening of The Fault In Our Stars. I don't know many bloggers who haven't already read the book, but in case you haven't, it's a beautiful love story that deals quite honestly with the stresses of cancer. That sentence seems just too simple to sum this book up, but I don't want to give anything else away!

Anyway, i'm a die hard book lover. I pretty much always have a critique of movies made from books. Don't even get me started on Harry Potter... love those movies but they are not the same as the books! I digress. TFIOS got it all so, so right. There were some subtle nuances that you probably only picked up on if you were a book reader, but even for someone who hadn't read the book, the movie captured the magic, the emotion, the depth of every single character. The casting was perfection - I didn't think I could love Augustus Waters anymore, but I do. I love him so much. I openly cried like a baby for a lot of the movie and had zero shame.

I 100% recommend this movie and will be dragging my husband to see it again when it comes out in 2 weeks, no doubt!

I can't even begin to explain how excited I am for this movie. I love love loved the book.

I'm a sucker for emotional movies, I'm pretty sure that there will be tears in my eyes throughout almost the entire thing.

So jealous that you got to see it early.

I loved the book! I'm not a huge fan of Shailene Woodley, though, bleck. But I'll still see the movie anyway, who am I kidding? ;)
